The first Grand Prix of the season is behind us. In the opening race, Ferrari did very good business for the constructors' championship by taking first and second place. Red Bull Racing and McLaren were left empty-handed.

Ferrari already made a positive impression during the winter tests and continued this form in Bahrain. With the first two finishing positions, the Italian team took no less than 44 points, putting them at the top of the rankings. Mercedes benefited from the retirement of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. As a result, the team is in second place with 27 points.

Whereas Haas failed to secure points throughout last season, the team immediately gained ten points in Bahrain. This was because of the fifth position that Kevin Magnussen secured. The American team is chased by Alfa Romeo and Alpine with nine and eight points respectively.

McLaren and Red Bull remain scoreless

At the bottom are Aston Martin, Williams, McLaren and Red Bull. The four teams failed to finish in the top ten. Where the first three teams had to do that because of their lack of pace on the track, the Austrians had to deal with two retirements. Next weekend the next GP is already on the program. Then the drivers travel to Saudi Arabia.
