'GP Las Vegas will be run on Saturday in 2023'

After the Saturday sprint races that first appeared on the calendar in 2021, Formula 1 seems to be looking to host a Saturday Grand Prix in 2023. According to F1 journalist Joe Saward, this would be the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will be announced soon.
Grand Prix on Saturday
Formula One has been expanding the sport in the United States for years. Since 2012, the United States Grand Prix has been on the calendar in Texas. This year the Miami GP will be added and the third race will most likely be held on the streets of Las Vegas.
Saward reveals on his website that in all likelihood the race will be held on November 25, 2023, in the evening. "If you look it up, you will find that this is a Saturday, the day after Black Friday, the first day of the Christmas shopping season." According to Saward, Saturday night was chosen on purpose because that's when many Americans are in front of the television. In Europe, the race is then shown on Sunday morning and in Asia in the afternoon.
No promoter in Las Vegas
Saward knows another piece of news about the Las Vegas Grand Prix, as the race will not have a local promoter. Instead, Formula 1 itself will host the race in close cooperation with the city in the state of Nevada. As a result, there will be no promotion fee, but all revenues will go directly to the F1 coffers.
