Steiner invites FIA to factory: 'Everyone sees things that aren't there'

After persistent complaints from the competition that Haas is too close to the Ferrari team, the FIA has paid a visit to Haas in Maranello. Guenther Steiner stresses that the team is not violating the regulations, so the FIA is more than welcome.
Three teams have reportedly asked the FIA to investigate the Haas team. As an engine supplier to the American team, Ferrari has a good business relationship with the small team, but the competition does not understand how Haas got a good car in 2022 with so few resources.
Steiner has nothing to hide. In conversation with the German RTL he explains that the FIA is always welcome at the factory. "We do everything according to the regulations. I have told the FIA that they can come and check every day, they are always welcome. If they find something, we will correct it. However, they will not conclude that we are copying a car. They visit too often for that."
Steiner thinks criticism has 'become boring'
Haas is having a good start to the new season and has already secured several points with Kevin Magnussen. The other teams are surprised by this, as Haas was still the worst team on the grid in 2021.
"The criticism always comes when we have a good car. It has become a bit boring because everyone sees things that are not there. You have to have good arguments when you complain", Steiner says.
