Alonso gives FIA homework: 'Keep looking into that and improved it'

Prior to the season, Formula 1 hoped the new regulations would bring the teams closer together. Fernando Alonso sees little evidence of this and advises the FIA in conversation with Motorsportweek.com to remain critical about the current situation.
The Spaniard is having a tough time at Alpine for the time being this racing year. Where his teammate Esteban Ocon is in ninth place in the world championship with twenty points, Alonso managed to put only two points to his name so far. Things must therefore improve quickly for him.
Alonso is realistic about current situation
However, the two-time world champion, partly due to his experience in Formula 1, seems to have few worries about the season. Alonso hopes to soon be fighting in the middle again. Personally, however, he does not believe that he will have a chance to win in races this calendar year.
"The new regs are supposed to bring all the cars closer together," says Alonso, who sees little evidence of that yet. "I think the order of the qualifying is still team by team, you know, not drivers by drivers so there’s still a thing that the sport in general should keep looking into that and improved it."
