Marko smiles: "I can't say anything about that"

It seems to be an open secret that Red Bull Racing and Porsche will team up starting in 2026, but the Austrian racing team does not want to confirm it yet. Helmut Marko was asked about it, but the Red Bull advisor is keeping his jaw shut for now and pointing to the Volkswagen Group.
On Monday, Volkswagen officially announced that it will join Formula 1 with Porsche and Audi. On the rumor circuit, Porsche is heavily linked to Red Bull. The German brand is said to be working with Red Bull Powertrains in Milton Keynes to develop engines for both Red Bull and AlphaTauri.
Marko says nothing
When announcing the news, Volkswagen chief executive Herbert Diess did not comment on the exact plans and possible collaborations of Porsche and Audi. Auto Bild Tried Marko, but they received zero response there."I can't say anything about that," Marko smiled. "You have to ask Mr. Diess about that."
Whereas Porsche will probably only be concerned with developing an engine, Volkswagen has bigger plans with Audi. The idea is to take over an existing Formula 1 team. They negotiated with McLaren for a long time, but in the end the team from Woking asked for too much money and a takeover folded.
