Gasly spoke to Marko: "I don't have more to say about it at the moment"

A few hours before the start of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Helmut Marko and Pierre Gasly spoke at length. Subject of discussion was the future of the Frenchman within the Red Bull family. Gasly states that no conclusions have been drawn in the discussion yet. That will only happen after several talks.
Talks with Red Bull management
"I have spoken with Helmut Marko and more talks will follow to see what is the best solution for the future. Sergio is doing a good job for Red Bull, but it's a moment in my career when I feel ready for the next step," Gasly is quoted by Speedweek. com among others . Incidentally, this is not the first time the 25-year-old driver has indicated that he wants to move up a gear.
For Gasly it is important to have a plan for the coming years. In principle, he is still tied to AlphaTauri until the end of next season, but if he wants to stay at Red Bull there must be prospects of a seat at Red Bull from 2025 onwards. "We'll see what happens, everything is open. I don't have more to say about it at the moment. It's a continuous conversation," Gasly added.
Is there room for Gasly?
Meanwhile, however, the competition is also only getting better and better. Yuki Tsunoda and also Alexander Albon are still part of the Red Bull program and in Formula 2, with Juri Vips, Liam Lawson, Dennis Hauger, Jehan Daruvala, and Ayumu Iwasa there are also five talented drivers racing who dream of driving alongside Max Verstappen.
For Gasly, however, there don't seem to be very many options other than AlphaTauri for next season. He seems to depend mainly on what Sebastian Vettel and McLaren will do. Should Vettel hang up his racing helmet, Gasly could be a good candidate, but although Aston Martin is very ambitious, it doesn't seem to be an immediate step forward. At McLaren, they could potentially tear up Daniel Ricciardo's contract. In that case, Gasly might be a capable replacement.
