Christian Horner is looking forward to the Canadian Grand Prix. Prior to the start of the race, the Red Bull Racing boss looks ahead to the race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Max Verstappen will start the Canadian GP from first place, but with Fernando Alonso at his side, the Dutchman must be careful. The Spaniard is keen to take the lead of the race and has little to lose in doing so. Before the race Verstappen and Sergio Perez came out on track for some test starts.

Test start for Verstappen

"There were no practice starts, especially yesterday (Saturday) (because of the rain),'' Horner said of the compressed weekend. Perez and Verstappen, therefore, used the hour before the race to test some more starts. "This way they could get a feel for the clutch in order to get in shape for an important start today,'' Horner says at Viaplay.

Pirelli thinks a pit stop strategy with one visit to the pit lane is the quickest, but the Briton is open to all possibilities. ''You have to be open to all options. Tyre wear is a bit more severe this year, all that rain has made the rubber (on the track) disappear, so we'll see,'' concludes the Red Bull Racing team boss.
