Norris has message for former teammate: "About time he won a race"
As always, Lando Norris is a fan favourite at the British Grand Prix. The Silverstone crowd were chanting his name but they had to watch his former teammate Carlos Sainz get the victory. The British driver has a message for Sainz, and as well reports his feelings on the battle with Lewis Hamilton.
British row on the grid
On the starting grid, Hamilton and Norris made an all-British third row. The two drivers then exchanged in a battle during the opening laps of the British Grand Prix which is something the Silverstone fans enjoyed.
"It was nice [battle with Lewis] but I had to let him go. You have to faith in people. When they respect you and know the size of the car then it's always fun to race them," Norris told Sky Sports about his fellow countryman.
During their time together at McLaren, Norris had a great friendship with Sainz. The man from Spain went on to win the race to which Norris wondered what took him so long. "I am happy for Carlos. It's about time he won a race. Very happy for him! He is in a Ferrari at that is a second quicker than me," he added.
