Fans misbehave again: Hamilton merchandise set on fire
- GPblog.com
Some Formula 1 fans in Hungary seem to have learnt little from everything that went wrong in Austria. Video footage shows a Max Verstappen fan setting fire to Lewis Hamilton' s merchandise.
A few weeks ago during the Austrian Grand Prix, things went wrong. Fans' would have made racist remarks and attacked women. Formula 1 came out with a statement called #DriveItOut on Saturday prior to the Hungarian Grand Prix, but for now some fans seem to want nothing to do with it.
Drunk 'fans' in Hungary
On Friday in Hungary things went wrong again. So-called 'fans' of Verstappen in Hungary can be seen on video dancing with burning Hamilton merchandise.
Journalist Jennie Gow reacts to the disturbing footage and says she thought the atmosphere was good. A twitter user responds that the N-word was shouted at her because she was carrying a Hamilton flag. The statements were said to come from drunk men.

Seen some disturbing images this morning of more fans burning Hamilton merchandise. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. If you’re here in Hungary, how are things in the grandstands? Is everyone ok? The atmosphere seems good but hard to really tell… #F1 @HungaroringF1
