Fernando Alonso will earn a good living in the coming years at Aston Martin. Monday morning it was announced that the Spaniard has signed a multi-year deal with Lawrence Stroll's team. It is not clear exactly how many seasons will be involved, but it has now been revealed what Alonso might earn on an annual basis.

The Swiss Blick - which is usually well informed - writes that Alonso will receive a generous annual salary of around fifteen million dollars. Sebastian Vettel is currently rumoured to earn between thirteen and fifteen million dollars at Aston Martin, so the British formation does not need to shell out even more for Alonso's arrival.

For the two-time world champion, his move to the current number nine in the Constructors' World Championship means he will have to settle for less pay than in recent seasons. At Alpine he would be paid around twenty million dollars a year.

Verstappen number two

Lewis Hamilton is still the driver in Formula 1 who earns the most. The seven-time world champion would receive 40 million dollars per season. Max Verstappen reportedly makes do with about 35 million dollars. Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris are said to be on fifteen million dollars, while Charles Leclerc gets twelve million.
