Warning for Verstappen: 'I think Max needs to be careful'

Red Bull Racing is in contention for the world title again this calendar year after the 2021 title race. With a comfortable eighty-point lead over Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen seems well on his way to winning the season again. Juan Pablo Montoya would not be surprised either.
The former Formula 1 driver has seen a powerful Red Bull on the track again this season. Not only does it have many qualities in its car and Verstappen, but he has also noticed that the team is hardly ever caught making wrong choices.
"Red Bull is pretty amazing," Montaya commented in conversation with Vegasinsider.com. "I think what Red Bull has, is that they are not afraid of losing. They have this attitude, doesn't matter if we get it wrong, we tried. Where, Ferrari’s mentality is, let’s not screw it up, cause we can win."
Verstappen warned for underestimation
This weekend, the summer break for Formula 1 teams is over. In Belgium, Verstappen hopes to continue his good form of the first half of the season and go straight for the win. However, Montaya does not expect this to be easy.
The Colombian expects a lot from Ferrari and Mercedes, so he thinks it will be an exciting Grand Prix. "I think Max needs to be careful not to get into the comfortable zone of just scoring points," he warned the Dutchman.
