McLaren and Ricciardo part ways at end of 2022 F1 season

Daniel Ricciardo is bidding farewell to McLaren at the end of the season. The driver had been under pressure from his team for some time and finally found a way with the British racing team to end his contract, which ran until the end of 2023.
The Australian made the switch from Renault in early 2021. Ricciardo hoped to fight for victories with McLaren in the future, but failed to live up to the high expectations. Instead, Lando Norris often turned out to perform better.
He failed to recover this in 2022, making the noises behind the scenes louder and louder that McLaren would like to continue with another driver. Ricciardo, however, still had a contract that ran until the end of 2023, so the British had to talk to him.
McLaren Racing and Daniel Ricciardo have mutually agreed that Daniel will leave the team at the end of the 2022 season.
