Perez sees fine situation for Red Bull: 'It has been good for us'

Formula 1 drivers are preparing behind the scenes for next week's Singapore Grand Prix. In doing so, Sergio Perez liked the fact that there has been no race weekend in the past few weeks, he said in an interview with Fox Sports.
The GP of Russia was actually supposed to be on show this weekend, but the Russian invasion of Ukraine changed that. Formula 1 decided to scrap the race weekend, bringing the number of GPs in 2022 from 23 to 22. It means drivers will have an extra weekend off to rest.
"This unexpected break has been good for us because the three races were intense," the Mexican assessed. "It has helped us analyse the path we have taken. We are sure we will finish the season well."
Perez thinks 24 races is the maximum
During the next two months, the drivers will be busy. Next season, however, they can really get their teeth wet, as there will be two more GPs compared to this year. Perez expects the limit to be reached by then. "With 24 races, it will be difficult to fit one more in."
