Sergio Perez, in his second season at Red Bull Racing, is still having a great time. In conversation with Fox Sports In doing so, he brings out a clear story.
The driver started his career in 2011 at Sauber, where he was under contract for two seasons. He then spent a year at McLaren. After a year, he switched to Force India (later Racing Point), with which he worked for eight years. In doing so, he earned a chance at Red Bull. Although he feels good about Formula 1, he knows there is more to life.
"If I stop, the easiest thing would be to continue in this world, but I really want to do other things, learn about other worlds," Perez says. "I am very passionate about business and I want to learn different things. In the end, cars are my passion and I will be involved in that in one way or another, but I want to explore other worlds after my career in Formula 1."
Perez doesn't want to become a consultant either
Whereas Helmut Marko provides Red Bull with advice, Perez does not see himself taking on a similar role. In doing so, the Mexican driver stressed again in the interview that he wants to partially kiss his current life goodbye by then and go for something new.
