Lando Norris is looking forward to the weekend. He says the missed racing at Marina Bay. He therefore looks back on the last race held there in 2019 with a nice feeling.

Norris managed a good result at the last race in Monza. The young Briton achieved seventh place in Italy where teammate Daniel Ricciardo dropped out. Norris said in McLaren's preview of the weekend that the Monza data was therefore well-researched by the team in order to be in good shape at Marina Bay.

Livery

The McLaren driver, like his teammate, will appear on the grid this weekend in a special livery to highlight his partnership with sponsor OKX. OKX is a platform for cryptocurrency and hopes to generate some more awareness through the presence of its logo on the car. McLaren will also appear in Japan with this livery. More pink can be seen on the car in the form of a distinctive 'cyperpunk' design.

Second time around

After a two-season absence due to the coronavirus pandemic, the F1 circus returns to Marina Bay. The last race took place in 2019. Back then, it was Sebastian Vettel who won the race. He also holds the record with as many as five wins in Singapore. For Norris, it is the second time in his Formula 1 career that he has raced in Singapore and says the following about it: "I’m excited to be heading back to Singapore this year, it’s another race returning to the calendar, and it will only be my second time racing there! I can’t wait to get back into the car, especially with the new OKX livery we have for Asia."
