Leclerc looks to 2023: "Hopefully put more of a challenge next year"

Charles Leclerc crossed the line in second place, yet lost it due to a five-second penalty. The punishment was announced during the post-race interviews and therefore the topic of conversation switched.

Congratulations to Verstappen

Verstappen regained the lead quickly after the pitstops on the intermediate tyres. Leclerc couldn't keep up with the pace and therefore dropped off towards Sergio Perez

"Front lap 5 onwards it was all downhill. Really struggling with the tyres. A bit like the last race warming up the tyres and then struggling after 3/4 laps. Struggled this time. A huge congratulations to Max for his second world championship," Leclerc said during the post-race interview.

"Max's title this year is just a matter of time. We knew and expected him to win the title, but now we need to use those last races to become a better team and hopefully put more of a challenge next year."
