Ricciardo officially confirmed as Red Bull's third driver in F1 2023

It is finally official: Daniel Ricciardo is back at Red Bull racing. The team announced on Twitter that Ricciardo will indeed join the racing team as the third driver behind Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
It had been in the air for a while that Ricciardo would return to his old team. Helmut Marko let the secret slip during the Abu Dhabi race weekend, after which Christian Horner and Ricciardo more or less confirmed that the deal was already as good as done. Now, indeed, it has been definitively confirmed that Ricciardo will return to the team he left in 2018.
Ricciardo also drove for Red Bull from 2014 to 2018. Before that, he was part of sister team Toro Rosso (now AlphaTauri) since 2012. After two years at Renault and two years at McLaren, it seemed for some time that Ricciardo would have to leave Formula 1 when McLaren decided to replace him for Oscar Piastri.
We can confirm that @DanielRicciardo will return home and re-join Oracle Red Bull Racing as the third driver for 2023 #DR3ack
