Interested in having a life-size F1 car in your living room and some pennies in your pocket? Red Bull Racing is auctioning off its RB14 show car and people can place their bids until 24 February.
The RB14, which was in action during the 2018 season, will be offered with a special livery (white with black drawings) and has the name 'Doodle Bull'. Specifications and achievements are summed up on the website of The Auction Collective: Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo had a combined total of four wins, thirteen podium finishes, two pole positions and 419 points in the constructors' championship in 2018. Daniel Ricciardo won the Monaco Grand Prix with this car.
Signatures of Verstappen and Perez
The livery was designed by British artist Sam Cox, who from 2017 began to make a name for himself with his unique drawing style.
"[Cox has] now turned his attention to Formula One, after being invited to doodle the Oracle Red Bull Racing RB14. Imprinting his signature style by hand across the entire static show car, Mr Doodle left only one space blank. Inviting the Team’s drivers Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez and two-time world champion Max Verstappen to sign the rear-wing end plate alongside his own signature."
So the signature of Daniel Ricciardo, who has driven the RB14, cannot be found on this particular version of the car. Proceeds from the auction will go to 'Wings for Life', the charity that Red Bull supports.
