Shortly after
McLaren pulled the curtain off the MCL60, it was
Aston Martin's turn to unveil the AMR23. At first glance, the livery is almost the same, but the car itself has undergone marked changes from the AMR22.
AMR23 compared to AMR22
Among other things, the sidepods stand out: they have undergone a marked transformation compared to the previous
F1 season. The front wing has also changed drastically, as has the air intake. But there is more: according to Dan Fallows, the aerodynamics specialist transferred from
Red Bull Racing, the car is
"95 per cent changed".
With the new AMR23,
Aston Martin hopes to finally take the big steps the team has been hinting at for some time. With
Lance Stroll and two-time world champion Fernando Alonso behind the wheel of the new car, the British racing stable aims to start bridging the gap to the top of the midfield.
