F1 TV gives subscribers saven days for free after cancelled Imola GP
The Imola Grand Prix has been cancelled due to severe weather in the Italian region. As a result, the F1 calendar goes from 23 Grands Prix to 22 Grands Prix. The Triple Header of Imola, Monaco and Barcelona is now a Double Header. F1 TV is accommodating its subscribers.
Indeed, F1 TV subscribers will get seven extra days added to their subscription for free. F1 fans who had bought a ticket to attend the Italian Grand Prix have also already been promised a refund. For fans at home, an arrangement has now also been made.
F1 TV gives seven days gift
Subscribers received an e-mail from the streaming service. That email contained an explanation of the events in Imola and how the decision came about to not allow the GP to go ahead. The last paragraph read, "As there will be no race this weekend, we are extending your F1 TV subscription for seven days. You don't have to do anything yourself - this happens automatically."
Nothing has yet come out about any catch-up date for the GP in 2023. However, the Imola race's contract has been extended for another year. The Imola GP had a deal with F1 until 2025. That is now until 2026. The chances of the race not being caught up are high. Not only because of the full schedule this year, but also because refunds have already been promised to ticket buyers.
