Sergio Perez 's crash in Monaco qualifying not only forced him to start the race last, it also gave the competition more information on what the floor of the RB19 looks like. Indeed, the car was being lifted up by a crane, giving photographers their chance to capture the underside of the so dominant car on camera

The same thing happened to Mercedes earlier in the weekend, when Lewis Hamilton had his W14 put into the wall. Autosport asked Andrew Shovlin if they studied the pictures of the RB19: "I suspect they’re probably more annoyed at their car being left in the sky than we would be about ours [...]. To be honest, with these regulations, the most important bit is the bit you don’t normally get to see.

Shovlin therefore thinks that all Formula 1 formations will take a close look at the photos that have been taken. Especially in Monaco, the racetrack photographers are keen on it, because the chances are relatively high that a car (due to the narrow streets and lack of spaces behind the crash barrier) has to be moved through the air towards a safe place.'

Aston Martin on floor RB19

Aston Martin’s performance director Tom McCullough agrees that it will be interesting to see what the floor of the Red Bull looks like. "A lot of people were there so I’m sure the aerodynamicists will be having a good look at all the cars that were lifted up. Thankfully, ours hasn’t been lifted up yet. Let’s try and keep it that way! The aerodynamicists never want you to show that," McCullough said.
