Norris to Red Bull? 'How will he beat Verstappen then?'
Formula 1 veteran Peter Windsor thinks Red Bull Racing could be the next destination for Britain's Lando Norris when his contract ends at McLaren in 2025.
But would Norris want to play second fiddle behind team leader Max Verstappen? After all, the Brit is the main man at McLaren and has repeatedly proved his talent and great potential. "He probably just thinks how brilliant it would be to be in a mega car and to just enjoy being in a Red Bull," outlines his compatriot. "I am sure Lando doesn't seem himself as a Verstappen wingman," Windsor concludes.
Norris behind Verstappen?
But the journalist also sees problems ahead for Norris should he make the move to the Austrian racing stable. "Well, then the trouble would start because how’s he going to beat Max Verstappen, and then what does Lando Norris become? Does he become just a really good number two or what?", wonders Windsor aloud. For now, a switch for the talented Briton is not yet on the cards. He still has a commitment until 2025 with McLaren, and Red Bull is also under wraps for the time being with Sergio Perez, who is guaranteed a seat for the time being.
