Windsor comes with surprising suggestion as teammate for Verstappen
Former Williams manager Peter Windsor is known for his opinionated, sharp opinions, which he shares with his YouTube audience on a weekly basis. This weekend, the Brit again provided his viewers with an interesting take. Wouldn't Nico Hulkenberg be the perfect teammate for Max Verstappen?
The German, who incidentally speaks excellent Dutch, surprised everyone and everything by putting his Haas on the front row of the grid. During a tough qualifying session, plagued by treacherous rain, Hulkenberg cleverly managed to qualify second. To the disappointment of many, he was moved back three places moments later for driving too fast during red flag conditions.
Hulkenberg to Red Bull?
Red Bull driver Sergio Perez had a somewhat less fortunate Saturday. The Mexican did not get his RB19 out of Q2, which Windsor also commented about. "When Red Bull look at the times they will think, 'Why don't we run Nico Hulkenberg in the other car?'" The Brit even goes a step further by stating that the German would be "the perfect number two to Max Verstappen". The Red Bull driver's performance will give the team food for thought, he believes. "He just couldn't get the tyres to work, pretty much as we saw in Australia and in Spain. So, a very disappointing moment for Red Bull with that performance, again."
