Sir Jacky Stewart (84) appears to have suffered a mild stroke five weeks ago, which has been reported by several British media outlets. Meanwhile, the three-time world champion has fully recovered and resumed his many activities. Among other things, Stewart is an ambassador for the Race against Dementia Foundation.

According to The Daily Mail, Stewart became unconscious in the run-up to the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Rajwa Al Saif. It was later revealed in hospital that the former driver and F1 team boss had suffered a mild stroke.

Riddle for Stewart

"This was the night before the wedding," Stewart recalled talking to the English tabloid. "I got up in the night feeling strange. I just dropped. And then I can’t remember. I was unconscious for quite a long time. My son Paul and his wife were there for the wedding, in a bedroom on a different floor. To this day, I don’t know how I got to Paul’s room, but I must have been somewhat alert to get hold of him," said the legend, who was consequently taken to hospital.

Meanwhile, Stewart is back home in Buckinghamshire. Moreover, he is already keeping himself busy again in Formula 1. The former champion expects the British Grand Prix to be won by: Max Verstappen.
