Change at Alpine: Szafnauer will report to new vice-president from now on
Alpine F1 Team has announced a change in the team's management. Team boss Otmar Szafnauer will from now on have to report to a new vice-president, Bruno Famin. Previously, this had to be done directly to CEO Laurent Rossi. Famin is responsible for the development of the French team's power unit and the role of vice-president will be an addition to his work at the team.

So with immediate effect, there will be a person between Alpine's team boss and CEO, the vice-president. Famin is the designated person for this task, Alpine announced in a press release. "Alpine announces the appointment of Bruno Famin as VP [vice-president], Alpine Motorsports and member of Alpine Management Committee, reporting directly to Laurent Rossi, Alpine CEO. In this position, Bruno Famin will lead Alpine’s activities across all motorsport disciplines."
So Famin will do this not only for Formula 1, but for all motorsport classes in which Alpine is active. Szafnauer was appointed Alpine's new team boss last year, Famin also started working for the French team in 2022. The change takes effect immediately.
