Latifi quits racing: 'Wants to take different path'
- Sam Godber
Nicholas Latifi disappeared off the radar after last season - his last at Williams. For the first time in a long time, the Canadian is making himself heard. Latifi let it be known via his Twitter account that he is quitting racing for the time being. "I want to focus on a different path," Latifi wrote.
Latifi proudly reports that he has been accepted at the London Business School, where he will start his studies in August. Although Latifi is looking forward to the next chapter in his life, he is not saying a final goodbye to motorsport.
"This is not necessarily a goodbye to the racing world forever. Racing has been my life since the age of 13 and is still something I am extremely passionate about," Latifi wrote in his message on Twitter. "However, I felt like this year was the right time to explore and pursue other avenues in my life," the 28-year-old Latifi added.
