Lewis Hamilton no longer owns a private jet as the Formula 1 driver looked to improve his carbon footprint. But Hamilton once owned a red Bombardier Challenger 605, which he used to travel to F1 races and the various other events he attended.

Hamilton sold his private jet

Hamilton's private jet was once a regular feature on his social media channels. You often would see his dogs, Roscoe and Coco, climbing on board to travel to the races with him. The jet even had a personalised registration G-LCDH. Standing for his full name: Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton.

The red jet even became well-known in the general news. The Paradise Papers were a set of leaked electrical documents detailing various offshore investments and tax havens. Hamilton was caught up in The Paradise Papers because of the use of debatable VAT policies in the Isle of Man. It allegedly allowed Hamilton to receive a £3.3 million refund. Hamilton's lawyers were quick to point out that nothing illegal occurred.

Hamilton reportedly sold his private jet in February 2019. He has been a big flag-bearer in living a more sustainable life, and it seems like this helped him decide to sell his jet.
