After victory in his home race, Max Verstappen also walks away with victory in the F1 Power Rankings. The journalists of the official Formula 1 website recognised the impressive performance and rewarded the Dutchman with a 10, consolidating Verstappen's lead in the Power Rankings rankings.
Perfect score for Verstappen
Verstappen is thus rewarded with the highest possible mark for his victory. "On paper, it is just another win, but it was far from easy for Verstappen. He was pushed by Lando Norris in qualifying but overcame that before having to manoeuvre through the adverse weather conditions and the restart to win the race. If he continues to drive like this, it is hard to see who can stop him this year," they said.
The other podium finishes in the Power Rankings went to the same drivers who were also on the podium at Zandvoort. Fernando Alonso received a 9.6 for his second-place finish. Pierre Gasly received a 9.4 from the five journalists. Williams driver Alexander Albon's good weekend was rewarded with an 8.8. This puts him in fourth place.
Verstappen proudly leading the standings
The top five in the overall standings remain as it was after Zandvoort. Verstappen is still in the lead with an average score of 9.2. He is followed by Alonso (8.2) and Lewis Hamilton is in third place in the standings.
