Rumours are coming from several F1 team bosses that Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff is a disruptive factor in the Formula 1 Commission, a decision-making body   Formula 1. This reports Business F1 Magazine.

The F1 Commission is described as one of the more secretive groups in the structure of decision in Formula 1. The group consists mainly of F1 team bosses and seems to have a serious say in important choices being made in the sport again in recent years.

F1 team bosses find Wolff's behaviour strange

Within this group, Wolff seems to play a strange role. Several team bosses, who do not want to be named, think Wolff does not keep his word and have stated that the team boss says one thing in informal conversations and then does the opposite during a group meeting. Among other things, Wolff is said to have been disruptive in discussions about the engines for 2026 and the budget cap.

One team boss has said, "He is all smiles and agreement with us and then goes back on it in the meetings. Toto is well regarded by many of us and his views have weight, but we all find it very strange." The same team boss added: "I am sure this is political grandstanding by Toto as it is in his own interest to come round to his own point of view - as stupid as that sounds."
