Verstappen points out key point: 'We need to be on top of that'

For Max Verstappen, the Japanese Grand Prix is a chance to straighten his back after finishing fifth at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, the circuit where Verstappen and Sergio Perez's RB19 was not very competitive. At Suzuka, the reigning world champion's car seems to be performing better, he himself explained.
"It's important just to get a good feeling with the car. There are a lot of high-speed corners. Our car is normally not too bad in them," the two-time world champion says. "The wear is always, or at least around here with the high-speed corners, quite tough on tyres. That is something that we need to get on top of," Verstappen said.
Verstappen takes a quick look back
Red Bull Racing can become the constructors' champion at the weekend of the Japanese Grand Prix. It would have to deal with Ferrari and Mercedes. Verstappen takes a quick look back at the part of the Formula 1 calendar that has already passed.
"If you forget Singapore, it's been really enjoyable," Verstappen said of driving the RB19 during the Formula One season. "It's been really good, really nice, quite predictable and all-round. I think that is something that is always very important to have in Formula 1," concluded the world championship leader.
