King, emperor, admiral. Max Verstappen managed to smash all records this season and win his third-world title. In conversation with Swiss magazine Blick, he talks about life besides the F1 circus. Like his father's rally adventure, his great love for Dutch football club PSV and his other great love, Kelly Piquet.

Jos Verstappen, who won the Rally of South Limburg as recently as November despite two punctures, is often present during race weekends. He doesn't have to count on Max's support at a race, though. As much as Max would like to: "I would love to, but it's such an open sport. You can't hide somewhere. And in that regard, I do like privacy. I would only be there to support my dad, maybe I'd distract him.''

Footballer Verstappen

Verstappen has to choose, the Netherlands or Belgium. When it comes to football: ''The Netherlands.'' The conversation shifts to football club PSV: ''Everything is going very well there at the moment,'' says Verstappen, ''I am very happy, other clubs or even Formula 1 teams have a lot of problems with mismanagement. I won't name names.''

Getting married to Kelly Piquet

After the race in Sao Paolo, Verstappen went to the Piquet family farm where his brother-in-law was getting married. Is it time for the Dutchman to do the same? Not yet: ''Getting married? Me? Now you're really putting me on the spot,'' Verstappen laughingly tells Blick. He continues: ''Time will tell. At the moment I am very happy with Kelly, but I have no idea when I will get down on one knee. It has to happen spontaneously."
