Verstappen not the GOAT according to Brundle, but: 'he looks like Senna'

Former Formula 1 driver Martin Brundle believes Max Verstappen is a mix of Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton - but that does not necessarily mean the Red Bull Racing driver is better than everyone else, according to the Sky Sports commentator.
After the 2023 F1 season, which Verstappen dominated by winning 19 of 22 Grands Prix, many are taking stock of where the Dutchman stands compared to other greats the sport has known.
Brundle: 'Verstappen not the GOAT, but...'
Brundle thinks Verstappen shows clear signs of traits that have made other F1 drivers great, but the analyst says that does not mean that makes him better than, say, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Michael Schumacher or Lewis Hamilton.
"What I do think is that Max has got the talent, the touch – like a Senna sort of feel for grip and he’s now got the confidence and the experience to deliver it in qualy, race, rain, shine, red flags, restart," said the 64-year-old Briton in a Q&A session on Sky Sports.
Brundle also agrees with one fan's analysis that the three-time world champion has the "raw speed" of Senna, the "fluid power" of Prost and the "metronomic ability" of Schumacher.
