Norris asks for honest assessment from McLaren: "If I suck, tell me I suck"
McLaren driver Lando Norris had a good season in 2023. Together with teammate Oscar Piastri, McLaren were able to get close to Max Verstappen on multiple occasions. Or at least closer than the rest of the field. Norris finished sixth in the world championship with 206 points. In the constructors' championship standings, McLaren were fourth. All in all, a good season for Norris.
The Brit explains the method he would like his team to adopt. "I just prefer the honest truth," Norris explained on McLaren's website. "I would rather have the brutal, honest truth. If I suck, tell me I suck. If I’m good, tell me I’m good. It is not always easy to do, but it is very important, and we will continue to do this to teach and help other people."
Norris enthusiastic
Norris and Piastri's team have already shown the livery of the car that will be used in 2024. The colour combination is orange-black. Last year there were also blue elements on the car, but these will be gone. Norris is eager and looking forward to the new F1 season.
"I’m excited because we’re finally on the right track, and we know in which direction to push, and I just want to start the season off well. If we can start well in Bahrain, I’ll be much more excited," concluded the 24-year-old Bristol-based driver.
