You would say that after breaking a number of records and a strong Formula 1 debut you would be satisfied, but for Oliver Bearman this is not the case. The first thing he did after the Grand Prix was watch the race back to see what could be improved. Meanwhile, he has seen the race five times.
With his foray into Ferrari, Oliver Bearman has already broken a number of F1 records at the start of the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. These include being the youngest British Formula 1 debutant and the youngest Ferrari Formula 1 debutant.

The Grand Prix in Jeddah was an evening race. As a result, the drivers have to stay on the track until late in the evening. Although you would think it would be time to rest after that, Bearman wanted to watch the race back immediately. "The race finished about 10pm, you have about 1½ hours of media and then you’re into a debrief with the team," Bearman told The Times in an interview. "By the time I got back to the hotel, it was 1am, and by the time I got to sleep it was half two, because I had to watch the race. We had a flight at 11am, so I slept for five hours, which didn’t help because I needed some recovery. But I had to watch the race. I’ve watched it maybe five times now."
When the 18-year-old Briton first watched the race back, he was mostly looking at what could be better. "The first time I was like, ‘Ah, I missed a bit of lap time there, I should have overtaken there." In the end, the Ferrari debutant did manage to be satisfied with his performance. "But now I’m really happy with what I achieved. I don’t think I could have asked much more of myself, considering the circumstances.”
