Daniel Ricciardo is focusing on his own performance first before getting involved in the driver market. The Australian stressed this in an interview with Sky Sports. "I've been so focused on making my season better here that I haven't really put much energy or thought into the driver market," Ricciardo said

Why Ricciardo is still hoping for a chance from Red Bull

"On the one hand, yes," Ricciardo said when asked by Sky Sports if he hopes Red Bull will give him time to turn the tide. "I have not yet been able to show the best of me this year. The plan is to do that sooner rather than later, of course. I've been so focused on making my season better here that I haven't really put much energy or thought into the driver market. I know that if my results get better then things may happen, but I'm too focused on getting my things right."

Whether Ricciardo actually stands a chance of getting a seat at Red Bull Racing remains to be seen. Helmut Marko was less than enthusiastic about Ricciardo's performance and even spoke about Liam Lawson. The Red Bull Racing reserve driver is emphatically knocking on the door and would be only too happy to take over Ricciardo's seat at Visa Cash App RB.
