Daniel Ricciardo was having a strong weekend until he was hit from behind by Lance Stroll at the end of the first safety car. The Aston Martin driver received a penalty for this, although he did not understand it at all. Consequently, Ricciardo was angry and then swore at the Canadian.
Ricciardo had a strong race, and points were possible. The VCARB driver was ninth at the time of the incident. After the collision, the Australian suffered so much damage that he ended up retiring As a result, he is still on zero points in the world championship.
Over the radio, Stroll said he did not understand anything about being given a penalty. He felt it was Ricciardo's fault. The Visa Cash App RB driver is, therefore, angry. He is quoted by Motorsport-total.com: "Apparently I am the idiot here and it was my fault. I'm really trying my best not to say what I want to say, but f*** the guy. If he watches it again in an hour he will blame himself. But if not, I can't help him."
Ricciardo continued: "Sure, these things happen, but this should never happen behind the safety car. I watched his on-board footage to see it from his perspective. You can see that, the moment he brakes, he's immediately looking at the apex of turn 14. He is not looking at me at all and when he does look, he is already on my tail. Yes, we're all stuck, but it's a hairpin. It's not like he pushed me and gave me a puncture. He just drove under my car."
The car ahead braked, Lance ran into the back and it was obviously Lance's fault. Same rule if you run up the back of any car if you were driving on the road. Now, I am just seeing the similarity of that between Max and Hamilton at the Saudi GP in 2021. Max slowed down, Hamilton ran into his back, but it was Max's fault??
Public road rules don't have much to do with F1... It's not always the fault of the car behind, just look at the latest incident between Alonso and Russell as testament to that... F1 cars don't have break lights and definitely DON'T maintain safety distances like you are supposed to on the public road :p. Therefore braking unpredictably can be punishable. In this case between Stroll and Ricciardo it is pretty clear whose fault it is of course. But just the fact you created a (false) theory based on a single incident to try and excuse that... controversial Max move from 2 years ago is quite entertaining... and people like that comment too.
Last time I checked if you brake check someone then you are to blame not the driver behind, but you knew that already.... Your pathetic trolling is tiresome?
