Full results Miami Grand Prix | Norris wins after chaotic race
After an exciting Miami Grand Prix with some questionable moments, Lando Norris secured his first-ever Grand Prix victory. He was ahead of Max Verstappen, who eventually finished second. Charles Leclerc secured the final podium spot, finishing third in Miami.
After winning the sprint race on Saturday, the Dutchman's cards looked good for the main race on Sunday. After this sprint race, it was time for qualifying for the Grand Prix and there too, the three-time world champion achieved the pole position.
At the start of the race, Sergio Perez misjudged his braking moment at Turn 1, causing him to drop back to fourth place. It was Charles Leclerc who was in second place and Oscar Piastri drove to third. The McLaren driver with his car with many updates this weekend was faster than the Ferrari and quickly moved into second place.
After a safety car due to a crash between Logan Sargeant and Kevin Magnussen, it was Lando Norris who was able to make the most of it. The Briton ended up in front of the safety car which allowed him to make a free pit stop after all. In the end, Norris actually managed to turn this lead into a victory and won his first Grand Prix. This ends his record of most second places without a win in Formula 1.
