The Formula 2 feature race in Barcelona featured different strategies and safety cars. After a dramatic start for Andrea 'Kimi' Antonelli, a safety car arrived after just the first lap. In the end, pitting early proved to be the way to win the race. Jak Crawford won the feature race. Franco Colapinto took second place and Juan Manuel Correa finished in third place. It's his first time on an F2 podium in five years since the tragic incident with Anthoine Hubert.

The Formula 2 feature race in Barcelona started dramatically for Kimi Antonelli. Indeed, he could not get his car out of place during the formation lap. The Italian had to give up his fifth place and start in the pit lane as a result.

Aron retained the lead from pole position. An incident immediately occurred in turn two, forcing the safety car into action for the first time during the race. Dennis Hauger hit Victor Martins causing them both to end up in the gravel. Antonelli's teammate Oliver Bearman had a very good start. The Briton drove from 15th place to ninth on the first lap.

Mistake by polesitter Paul Aron

The feature race in Barcelona had many different strategies. Jak Crawford decided to enter the pit lane early from second place. This proved to work out well, as he then virtually led the race. Paul Aron, the championship leader, stopped later, leaving him virtually in second place. The Estonian driver made a mistake a little later in the race which landed him in the gravel. This cost him many valuable places.

Taylor Barnard caused the first virtual safety car. The AIX team driver stopped just before the entrance to the pit lane and could not continue. Sometime later, the same thing happened to his teammate, Joshua Durksen. His car also stalled, preventing him from completing the race.

Track limits penalties in Barcelona

Another issue that played a big role in Barcelona was track limits. A lot of drivers ended up off the track, so a lot of penalties are sure to follow after the session. Ten laps before the end, the race leader pit. Juan Manuel Correa had a slow stop, causing him to drop to ninth place. On the soft tyre, the 24-year-old then found a lot of speed which helped him catch up

All the chaos and different strategies in this Barcelona main race created some opportunities for Richard Verschoor. The Dutchman started the race from 19th place, but he was eventually unable to finish the race due to problems. Jak Crawford won the Barcelona main race. Franco Colapinto took second place and Juan Manuel Correa eventually took third. Just before the end, Invicta teammates Gabriel Bortoleto and Kush Maini made contact after a long battle.
