Verstappen will talk to Norris later: 'Now not the right time'
- Corwin Kunst
Max Verstappen is frustrated at how the Austrian Grand Prix went. Not only because of the crash with Lando Norris, but also because - according to him - an awful lot of things went wrong at the Red Bull Ring. He will talk to Norris about the incident at a later date, he confirmed to F1TV's camera .
"Yeah, it's unfortunate. It's stuff that you don't want to see happening. It's as simple as that," Verstappen said. "Because, at the moment, it's easy to say stop. I think it's better to just look back at the footage of what exactly went wrong. Because it was a bit of an awkward angle that we touched. Something that is very weird."
Verstappen was on his way to victory 62 in Formula 1, but the crash with Norris threw a spanner in the works. But the Dutchman draws it wider than just pointing to the specific moment with the McLaren driver. "But we also did so many things wrong throughout the race that we put ourselves in a position like that. So those are also things that we have to look at too."
Verstappen will talk to Norris
Whether Verstappen is going to talk to Norris about the incident? "Yeah, of course, we'll talk about it. At the moment, I think it's not the right point. It's better to just let things cool off, I think, ideally. But besides that, I'm more annoyed with just how the performance of the race is," he concluded.
