Sergio Pérez will not be on display during the first practice session at Silverstone. The Mexican, who recently extended his contract at Red Bull Racing, will have to give up his seat to Frenchman Isack Hadjar. Hadjar currently competes in Formula 2 for the Campos Racing team.

Hadjar made his motorsport debut in French Formula 4 where he managed to finish seventh in the championship in his first year. He then made a move to F4 in the United Arab Emirates, where he competed in five races. In 2021, he made the step to F3 and in 2022 he was included in the Red Bull Junior programme. The following year, he made his debut in Formula 2. There, he is currently second in the standings.

Last year, Hadjar already got to debut in Formula 1 during the first free practice for the Mexican Grand Prix. There, he stepped into Yuki Tsunoda's Alphatauri.
