Red Bull Racing is having a harder time than it did at the start of the 2024 season. The team was dominant at the beginning of the season like it was in 2023. Despite a quick start, Red Bull has been unable to replicate their early form. After the British Grand Prix, team boss Christian Horner revealed whether or not it would be a difficult weekend for the Milton Keynes-based team in Hungary.

Max Verstappen still leads the drivers' championship by a wide margin. The difference with second place Lando Norris is a whopping 84 points after the British Grand Prix.

Despite his lead, Verstappen is no longer faring as easily as he did at the start of the season. Since the Miami Grand Prix, McLaren has joined Red Bull Racing and in the past few races, Mercedes has also made a clear step forward. There's work to be done for the reigning world champions.

Horner expects an exciting battle at the Hungarian GP

When Horner was asked if he expects the RB20 to be quick at the Hungaroring in Budapest, where the next race will be held, he replied: "It's going to be interesting to see how we perform there. It could be hot. I think it'll be the usual people who are quick at the moment. It's going to be interesting, an interesting venue and I'm sure it'll be very, very close once again." Said Red Bull's team boss. Horner will be hoping Sergio Perez has a better weekend in Hungary. After a string of difficult weekends, the Mexican is under pressure.
