Red Bull Racing may be heading for a luxury problem. The Red Bull Junior Team has so many promising talents that there does not seem to be enough room in Formula 1 in the future. One of the up-and-coming talents is Isack Hadjar, the current leader in the Formula 2 championship. Helmut Marko hints at Hadjar's potential role at the Austrian F1 team.

In Formula 2 and Formula 3, Hadjar and Arvid Lindblad, respectively, are making a big impression. Consequently, Marko has praised both Red Bull drivers on several occasions. Meanwhile, however, Liam Lawson is also still waiting along the sidelines and so the question is where Red Bull will house Hadjar, should he win the F2 championship.

"Isack Hadjar took his fourth win in the highest Formula class after F1 at Spa. He clearly has the potential for Formula 1. We will see how everything develops, but he will definitely play a role. It could be that, like Lawson, he will spend a year as a test and simulator driver," Marko told Speedweek.com in his column.

Lawson's plans will be announced in September. The New Zealander, who already made his F1 debut last year as a replacement for Daniel Ricciardo, will soon get more mileage in an F1 car at Imola. Should Red Bull and VCARB choose to stick with their current driver duos, Lawson will be free to leave for another team in 2025. So more on that will become clear in September.
