After he could not participate in qualifying due to an enormous crash in FP3, Logan Sargeant finished the Dutch Grand Prix in P16. The American reacted to speculation about getting replaced already in the current season in Zandvoort.

During the summer break, it was already announced that Carlos Sainz will replace the American at the team from 2025 onwards. Following yesterday's qualifying session however, team principal James Vowles could be seen at Red Bull Racing. Liam Lawson could already jump in for Williams at the Italian Grand Prix, that will take place next weekend. The driver from New Zealand also has experience at the track in a Formula One car, as he was a substitute for the injured Daniel Ricciardo last season.

Talking to GPblog among others, reacted to those rumours. "No, I hear them every weekend, so it's nothing new. No, I couldn't care less," the American answered.

Sargeant badly damaged his Williams in FP3, as he went on the grass in Turn 4. So far, not only the New Zealander, but also Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Williams junior Franco Colapinto could be mentioned as replacement. Moreover, the Italian youngster turns 18 today, so he no longer needs a special exception to get a Formula One super licence.
