Horner speaks to Ford's CEO about the future at Red Bull Racing

The Formula One weekend at Monza is not yet going entirely to plan for Red Bull sportingly, with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez qualifying in seventh and eighth respectively during qualifying. But team boss Christian Horner did have an important meeting with Ford, one of the future keyplayers at Red Bull, ahead of the Italian Grand Prix.
Early last year, Ford and Red Bull Racing announced that they would be working together; from 2026, Red Bull will be driving engines produced by Red Bull Powertrains in collaboration with the American manufacturer. However, due to the considerable commotion at Red Bull, there were rumours that this deal might be in jeopardy.
Horner and Ford CEO speak to each other
Jim Farley, Ford's CEO, and Horner had reportedly not spoken to each other for over a year. But that has now changed, reports de Telegraaf. Farley and Horner reportedly spoke to each other in Red Bull's hospitality room.
A Red Bull Racing spokesman told de Telegraaf: "The meeting went very well. They talked for about an hour about the plans for next year and 2026." So thus there seems to be some reconciliation between the two sides.
