No penalties have been handed out, so there are no changes from the provisional grid formed after qualifying. The two drivers at the top of the Formula 1 World Championship will start from the front row of the grid. Lando Norris secured pole position, and Verstappen will try to apply pressure on lap one.
Carlos Sainz put his Ferrari into the wall during the final part of qualifying, causing significant damage to the car. The mechanics worked hard to get the car ready again in time for Sunday afternoon's race. They succeeded without replacing the gearbox, and so the Spaniard will start from P10. Teammate Charles Leclerc will start from P9.
Sergio Perez starts from 13th in the Asian city-state. With Norris starting from P1 and Oscar Piastri starting from P5, McLaren has a good chance to extend their lead in the Constructors' World Championship
