Norris NEARLY throws away his dominant lead and panics on the radio
Everything was going smoothly for Lando Norris until he had a lockup at turn 14 and just brushed the wall. The race leader had a significant lead on Max Verstappen but could've thrown it away if he didn't save the mistake. But the McLaren driver still panicked over the team radio, saying: "Front wing damage, maybe!".
McLaren soon pitted Norris for a routine pitstop and didn't change the front wing. Norris' race engineer came over the radio and replied: "We see a small issue with the front wing. Nothing serious."
No problem for Norris
Norris still leads the Singapore Grand Prix with the race just over halfway. Follow the rest of the event on the GPblog liveblog.
