The next Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, October 20 2024. This will be the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. It will take place nearly one full month after the previous Grand Prix in Singapore. The US Grand Prix is the first event in a triple header, including Mexico and Brazil. Lando Norris will attempt to hunt down Max Verstappen in the Formula 1 World Championship.

What time does the United States Grand Prix 2024 start?

The 2024 United States Grand Prix starts on Sunday, 20 October at 14:00 local time (20:00 UK time). However, the rest of the weekend is different compared to normal because F1 are bringing their sprint format to Texas. Therefore, there is only one 60-minute practice session on Friday, 18 October at 12:30 local time (18:30 UK time).

Sprint Qualifying will then take place on Friday afternoon at 16:30 local time (22:30 UK time). This will form the grid for Saturday's Sprint which will take place at 19:00 UK time. Qualifying for Sunday's Grand Prix then starts at 11pm UK time. The United States Grand Prix takes place on Sunday 20th October at 20:00 UK time.

Which races are left on the 2024 Formula 1 calendar?

The final part of the season is different from normal. There are three weekends with races, followed by two weekends off. Then, there is another triple header to finish the season. The Mexican Grand Prix will follow the race in the United States, and Formula 1 will use the traditional format. The sprint format will return the following weekend in Brazil. The race in Brazil will take place on the 3rd November.

F1 teams will then return one for two empty weekends. The Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place on 23rd November. F1 teams then make the long journey to Qatar for the final sprint format of the year. The season will conclude on the 8th December in Abu Dhabi.
