OFFICIAL | Ricciardo leaves VCARB immediately!
VCARB have announced that Daniel Ricciardo will not stay at Visa Cash App RB. The Australian is the second driver to be replaced in 2024.
On Thursday afternoon, Visa Cash App RB announced that Daniel Ricciardo will leave the Faenza-based team with immediate effect. The Australian returned to VCARB (he competed for the team before they were called Toro Rosso) during the 2023 season after replacing a struggling Nyck de Vries. However, he was unable to earn a promotion to Red Bull Racing this time around.
"Everyone here at VCARB would like to thank Daniel for his hard work across the last two seasons with us... Daniel has been a true gentleman both on and off the track and never without that smile. He will be missed, but will always hold a special place within the Red Bull family," VCARB's team principal Laurent Mekies commented about the departure on social media.
Liam Lawson will be Yuki Tsunoda's next teammate starting from the US Grand Prix onwards.
