World champion follows Verstappen in protesting the FIA
After he said the F-word when talking about his car at the FIA press conference, Max Verstappen received a penalty by the stewards in Singapore. The Dutchman will have to do community service for swearing, and afterwards, he protested the decision with refusing to answer questions properly at later press conferences that weekend. Now, really legend Sebastian Ogier also joins in the three-time world champion.
Verstappen made it clear during the Singapore GP that his protest had to do with the FIA's ruling, and then invited the journalists to speak to him outside, where he responded at lenght.
Sebastien Ogier joins Verstappen in protest against the FIA
Sebastian Ogier, the eight-time WRC champion is now following the F1 driver. The Frenchman is also not satisfied with the governing body, after he was given a suspended fine of €30,000 because of his comments on race control.
The following weekend, Ogier refused to answer questions at the press conference, reasoning the same way the current F1 championship leaded did so in Asia. "We have been told by the top of the FIA to shut our mouths," Ogier told RallyTV.
