International media give praise for Max Verstappen after Brazilian GP

Max Verstappen has received praise from all around the world following his win at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Dutchman started from 17th and climbed all the way to the front in wet conditions to put one hand back on the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship. Here's how the international F1 media reacted to the result.

Bild - Germany

"Verstappen madness", German outlet Bild headlines after Max Verstappen's win in Brazil. The German media state that the battle for the world title has been decided after Verstappen's win and the Dutchman also gets high marks for it. Verstappen gets a '1', the highest mark in Bild's assessment, but also another '1' with a star after "arguably Verstappen's best race ever".

Daily Mail - United Kingdom

The media in the United Kingdom are also impressed by Max Verstappen's performance in Sao Paulo. "Verstappen is the greatest driver on the planet," the Daily Mail headlines above their race summary. Again, it states that the battle for the world title has been decided in Verstappen's favour, after the masterclass in Brazil.

Gazzetta dello Sport - Italy

Verstappen also gets a 10/10 from Italy's pink sports newspaper after his performance in Brazil. Verstappen the legend, the Italian newspaper says of Verstappen's performance. The race report is also headlined: ''Verstappen wins like a champion and seals the title.'' According to La Gazzetta, Verstappen made no mistake in Sao Paulo and can therefore clinch his fourth title in Las Vegas.

L'Equipe - France

'Gasly and Ocon sing in the rain', French L'Equipe headlines the day after Alpine's double podium. Of course, the French newspaper's attention is on the two French drivers and the French team on the podium, but there is also a focus on Max Verstappen: 'If you are so hungry (for success), then this was a very long wait for Max,' the newspaper states after Verstappen's long-awaited win.

De Telegraaf - Netherlands

''Max Verstappen takes a giant step towards fourth world title with masterclass in rain'', headlines De Telegraaf after win for Verstappen. In its race report, the Dutch newspaper speaks of Verstappen the 'rain master' and that a '27-year-old lad from Limburg proved once again that he is among the best and greatest drivers in motorsport history'.
